NEW DELHI: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has postponed the HSSC exam in Banking, Computer Science, Logic and Cooperation due to the demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. As per the new schedule, the exams will be conducted on March 29, 2019.

Manohar Parrikar, who had been suffering from pancreatic ailment, has passed away in Panaji on Sunday i.e., March 17, 2019. President Ram Kovind announced the demise of Parrikar through a tweet.

“Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and of India will not be forgotten” – wrote President Kovind on his twitter.
